International Transfer Students

Admission Process

If you attended a college or university after you graduated from secondary school/high school, please apply as an international transfer student. Any student who has previously attended another higher education institution cannot apply as a new freshman.

  1. Apply using the Marian University International Application.  It's free!

  2. English language proficiency: International students must document their English language proficiency according to the requirements below.

  3. Academic records: Send official transcripts directly to Marian University's Office of Admission for all previously attended high schools and colleges. For any university not in the United States, we require a course-by-course evaluation. We recommend using the course-by-course evaluation provided by World Education Service (WES).

If your university does not provide your transcript in English you must submit a word-for-word translation of the transcript. This translation can be completed by the student or a third party service (we recommend http://www.indytranslations.com).

  4. Passport: Submit a copy or scan of the photo identity page of your passport.

  5. Proof of Finances: Submit a completed Financial Verification Form along with supporting documents from within the past six months showing sufficient funds to cover the first year of study. Supporting documents include a bank statement or letter from the bank.

  6. Transfer-In Form: Complete the Transfer-In Form with the international student advisor at your current university. Your advisor should email the completed form to international@marian.edu.
