The Marian University community helped me quickly adapt because of everyone’s warm welcome and continuous friendliness.”

“I love Marian University’s close-knit community and liberal arts focus. It is something students might not fully appreciate now, but will be of great value later. The liberal arts education enables us to become well-rounded individuals and gives us an understanding of disciplines other than our designated fields of study,” Ondari also added, “I have learned a great deal at Marian University so far and I feel that I am getting well prepared for my future.” Upon graduation, Ondari plans to obtain a position as a certified public accountant in Indianapolis, Chicago, or wherever life takes her.

Annabelle Ondari, a Bishop Chatard High School graduate, fell in love with Marian University’s beautiful campus and hospitality the first time she visited campus, but after learning about the prestigious Clark H. Byrum School of Business she finalized her decision. Ondari’s favorite experience is her entire experience as a freshman. During her freshman year, she settled into her new environment, made friends, and became independent. “Being far away from home and learning to make the right choices without my parents helped me become more independent.”

Ondari is the multicultural student representative for the Student Government of Marian University, secretary for the Union for Black Identity, and member of the Global Studies Club and the International Club. She is also a James Allison Fellow—a distinguished student group linked through the common interest of entrepreneurship. “Through my involvement with these organizations my leadership skills and timemanagement ability have greatly developed.” Ondari’s favorite experience is her entire experience.
