Textbooks and Labs

Online and Hybrid Courses

  • Textbooks: You will purchase textbooks for online and hybrid courses offered by MAP. ISBN numbers will be available before the beginning of each semester.

  • Lab Kits/Online Access: The BIO 214, BIO 226, and CHE 108 require labs that are essential for course completion and should be purchased before the start of the course.

We recommend you order textbook(s) and labs at least two weeks before the start of each course. Explore all options to find which is most effective for you: new, used, rental, or e-books.

You can obtain course materials from any source, although ordering materials from the
Marian University Book Store, whether in person or online, is a convenient option.

Degree-seeking students may be eligible to use financial aid funds to purchase textbooks and lab kits/online access through the bookstore.

Access Codes

BIO 214, BIO 226 and MUS 127 require that you purchase an access code for online and/or listening labs. Be cautious if you purchase a used book or rental book for these two courses because they may not have the access code you need to complete the course.

Classroom-Based Courses

  • Textbooks: If you take traditional classroom-based general education and business courses, you will have use of physical textbooks for the duration of the course at no charge. Textbooks are shipped to you via UPS, typically 10-14 days before the course begins. Refer to the MAP Calendar for textbook related dates and deadlines.
